Villa Nicola is a luxury villa in Messina, Sicily, positioned on top of a high precipice overlooking the sea towards the Aeolian Islands. The project is organised around a dramatic vertical interior, where landscape, horizon and domestic life are brought into a single spatial sequence.

The house is structured around a triple-height central atrium. A ramp wraps around this void, connecting the common ground-floor living spaces with the bedrooms above and the master bedroom terrace at the top of the house.

The project develops the villa as a vertical promenade, using movement, height and framed views to intensify the relationship between interior space and the surrounding coastal landscape.
