A series of refurbishments within the typical Georgian terrace along Westbourne Terrace resulted in modern, minimally detailed flats that are bathed in light. The listed Georgian terrace has been converted into flats resulting in properties spanning a number of existing levels, half levels, and newly inserted floors. The flat has been stripped and the layout reconfigured to allow for more light to the interior. This has been facilitated by the insertion of a fire-protected glazed hallway providing a transparent core between the living and the dining above. The new dual aspect fills the flat with light and allows views across the flat from the guest bedroom, through the living room, and out the double height windows on the front facade. A combination of transparent and opaque glass, white plaster and lacquer and oiled oak was used throughout the project.
